In 1981 Kraftwerk released their eighth studio album Computer World to general critical approval; NME even ranked it #2 on their year-end albums list[1]. Computer World was also their highest charting album in the US at the time, peaking at 72 on the Billboard 200 and 32 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and did well in Europe too.
